Prominent Wisconsin personal injury lawyer Daniel Rottier, president of Habush, Habush & Rottier, pleaded guilty Friday to a misdemeanor battery for striking his wife with a cane during an argument at their Maple Bluff home in early February.
Pursuant to a plea agreement, Rottier, 62, agreed to enter a program for first time domestic violence offenders. Dane County Circuit Judge William Hanrahan withheld adjudication while Rottier attends the program. If he completes it successfully, the charge would be dismissed. If not, he could serve nine months in jail.
