Madison Woman Signals Plainclothes Officer, Gets Arrested for Prostitution

Story reprints narrative from Madison’s particularly colorful police reports:

A Madison Police officer was on his way to work at the South District last Friday afternoon when a woman on the street raised a hand and tried to flag him down. Thinking the woman might be in some trouble, the officer swung around. The citizen jogged his way. She wasn’t in trouble, not just yet, but that was about to change. The officer, in plain clothes, and in his personal car, says: What’s up? She responds: “How about 30?” The officer let her know he was not interested in any type of liaison. She said: “Come on! How about 20? He drove to the station house, reported the behavior, and another officer went out to make the arrest.
