From 1996 to 2012, college enrollment among Hispanics, age 18 to 24, more than tripled– a 240% increase, far more than the increase among blacks–72%- and whites –12%, the study shows.
But when researchers looked at data of an older age group with bachelor’s degrees, they found a gap. In 2012, Hispanics made up just 9% of young adults, ages 25 to 29, with bachelor’s degrees.
