Not soon enough:
A well-known Milwaukee lawyer’s recent disbarment from the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals is not only very rare, but appears to be the iceberg’s tip of her professional discipline problems.
The federal appeals court blasted Bridget Boyle in a Feb. 2 order based on her apparent abandonment of a client’s criminal appeal and failure to make timely and responsive answers to the court’s orders to explain why. It banned her from further practice in that court.
Similar complaints have landed Boyle in trouble with Wisconsin’s Office of Lawyer Regulation, which seeks 60-day and four-month suspensions in two complaints still pending with the state Supreme Court. She declined to discuss the ethics complaints with a reporter
