The DNR’s proposals, detailed in a paper titled “Wild Deer Registration Authorization,” were released Wednesday at the Natural Resources Board meeting in Pembine.
The document makes it clear it is illegal to take a live, free-ranging animal from the wild.
But then it provides a framework under which the public can do so.
